# Getting Started with Agent Studio

> Build and deploy autonomous AI agents by chatting, no coding or technical setup required.

This is where your content operation stops needing you. Build autonomous agents by describing what you want. They wake up on their own, execute tasks, monitor performance, and publish content while you're offline. Connect your entire tool stack across 3,000+ integrations. Message your agents from Slack, WhatsApp, or Telegram like you would a teammate. The longer you run it, the smarter it gets.

## The Agent Studio dashboard

When you open Agent Studio, the overview tab shows:

* **Total runs** — how many agent tasks have run this month
* **Tasks completed** — completed tasks for the period
* **Pending approvals** — items waiting for your review
* **Activity frequency** — a graph showing when your agents are most active throughout the day and week

<Tip>
Ideally, you want to see activity across your week. If you don't see any activity, it usually means something isn't set up or connected yet.

## Your default agent team

Your agent team is ready to use on day one. It ships with built-in research tools, winning workflows, and proven skills, no configuration required. Start getting results immediately, then customize as you go.

| Agent | Role |
| ------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Jake** *(default name, renameable)* | Orchestrator, runs the operation, briefs and delegates to the team, quality-checks all outputs |
| **Scout** | Finds trending topics and audience signals |
| **Strategist** | Turns briefs and context into hooks and content plans |
| **Creator** | Handles all content creation across formats |
| **Analyst** | Tracks content performance and surfaces insights |
| **Heartbeat** | Always-on standup persona that reviews your operation and flags what needs attention |

You can disable any default agent and replace it with your own. To add a custom agent, click **Add Agent** or describe what you need in chat and Pressmaster builds it for you.

Your main agent — the orchestrator — is named **Jake** by default, but you can rename it to anything you want. Jake coordinates all the sub-agents and is the one you communicate with directly.

## Building agents via chat

Create, train, and deploy agents by chatting with them. Describe what you want an agent to do, and Pressmaster builds it. Adjust its behavior, give it new skills, and deploy, all through conversation.

You can also send your agent a **voice note** directly, describe a task out loud and the agent picks it up and executes.

## Playbook Library

Access a library of pre-built agent systems and skills, including GTM Sales Agents, AI GEO Optimizers, and more. Deploy complete, specialized agent setups with one click, then iterate from there. No need to build from scratch.

## Custom Skill Library

Your agents ship pre-loaded with system skills built by Pressmaster. Ready on day one, no setup required.

| Skill | What it does |

Then make them yours:

* **Create new skills** by chatting with your agent. Describe what you want, it builds the skill with you.
* **Import your own** methodology, frameworks, and rules. Drop them in and your agents work the way you do.
* **Assign skills to any agent**. Decide who knows what. Upgrade one agent or your entire team.

## Communicating with your agents

Chat with your agents from wherever you are:

* **In-app**, directly within Pressmaster
* **Slack**, your agent appears as **Superagent** in your workspace; send messages and get updates like any teammate
* **Telegram**, delegate tasks from your phone; your agent responds as **Superagent**
* **WhatsApp**, send instructions and receive results on mobile
* **Email**, loop agents into your existing workflows
* **Voice notes**, send a voice message and your agent executes the task

Context is maintained across all channels. Delegate from anywhere, text your agent team like you would a colleague.

## Team workspaces

Every member of your team gets their own agent. Each agent is tied to that person's identity, content style, and goals, so your entire team can run autonomously, with each agent working independently for the right person.

## How credits work

Agent Studio uses a **25% markup** on the underlying AI model costs. You pay for what your agents actually use, no flat monthly fee for compute. You can monitor usage and set spending limits per workspace from the account settings.

**Which channel should you choose?** Pick the app you already use most — the goal is to remove friction, not add it. If you live in Slack, connect Slack. If Telegram or WhatsApp is your main messaging app, use that. The more natural the channel feels, the more consistently you'll use it.

## What agents can do for you

* Create drafts and manage your Content Library
* Review analytics and surface performance insights
* Publish content to connected channels
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activity
* Execute research tasks and store findings in the Artifact Library
* Run background tasks on a schedule, without you logging in
* Connect your note-taker (Granola, etc.) and automatically extract insights from your meetings
* Send you content links via WhatsApp, Slack, or Telegram for review without you opening the app
* Fire interview links on a schedule, research the topic, send the link, handle the follow-up
* Push results where they belong: content to your library, leads to your CRM, updates to your inbox

## Agent uses Pressmaster for you

Your agent has full access to the Pressmaster UI. It doesn't just produce outputs in a chat, it actively manages your content library, moves cards between stages, creates drafts, and fires creation flows on your behalf. You set the rules, the agent does the work.

## Parallel task execution

Agents can run many tasks simultaneously. Spin off 10, 50, or 100 tasks and the agent executes them in parallel, no queue, no waiting.

## Model routing

Agents automatically use the most powerful models for complex tasks and cheaper models for simple ones. You never have to configure this, routing happens automatically to maximize quality while keeping costs low.

## Integration connector

All tool integrations run through **Pipedream**, which is owned by Workday and operates with enterprise-grade security. Custom code, custom scripts, and custom tool creation are intentionally disabled in the agent to keep it isolated and secure.

## Recommended usage pattern

You don't need to live inside Pressmaster for it to work. A common and effective pattern:

* **On your phone** — use your connected messaging app (Telegram, WhatsApp, or Slack) to send quick ideas, save thoughts, and check in with your agent throughout the day
* **In the web app** (\~twice a week) — review tasks, approve content, check what the agent has been doing, and run interviews

The agent handles the work in between. You just guide and approve.

<Tip>
Start with the default agent team before building custom agents. The pre-built setup covers most content workflows and gives you a solid baseline to iterate from.
