# Interview

> Run text, voice, or video interviews on any topic, instantly, without setup. Switch modes mid-session, chat with your results, and turn any conversation into content.

The Interview is a standalone creation mode in Pressmaster. Start one at any time on any topic, from the + Create menu, from a trend in Find Ideas, from a Saved Idea, or from within Brainstorm. No setup required.

## Starting an interview

You have three ways to start:

**Pick a topic**, tell Pressmaster what to interview you about. You can define the topic and let it generate the questions, or propose the questions yourself and agree on them upfront before starting.

**Freestyle**, jump in with no topic at all. Pressmaster has persistent memory across all your interviews and knows your content pipeline, so it guides the conversation intelligently without you having to brief it each time.

**From a trend or saved idea**, in Find Ideas or Saved Ideas, click **Interview** on any item to launch directly into an interview based on that topic.

## Interview modes

Choose how you want to communicate, and switch freely between modes mid-session without losing any context:

    Type your answers in chat. Best for async or when you want to be precise with your wording. Pressmaster asks one question at a time, adapting based on your previous answers.

    Speak your answers. Pressmaster transcribes in real time and extracts your best ideas. The voice experience is designed for natural conversation, no interruptions, no misunderstandings.

    The agent has persistent memory across all your past voice interviews. It references things you've said before, reminds you of threads you started, and feels like an ongoing conversation rather than a fresh start every time.

  <Tab title="Video">
    Talk to an AI avatar on camera, like running a podcast with a host. You can use your own camera or talk to the avatar without recording yourself.

    Video interviews produce:

    * Written content (posts, articles, newsletters) from the transcript
    * A recording of the full interview
    * Auto-generated clips, cut by the agent during the session

    You can connect your own HeyGen avatar for a fully personalized video experience.

## Persistent memory

Pressmaster remembers every interview you've done. You never have to re-introduce yourself, re-explain your positioning, or repeat context from a previous session. The agent knows:

* Everything you've said across all past interviews
* What's currently in your content pipeline
* Your recent performance data

This makes freestyle interviews especially powerful, just start talking and Pressmaster picks up where you left off.

## Pre-defined questions

Want to run a structured interview, for example, collecting a customer case study? Define the questions upfront, agree on them before starting, then share the interview with the customer. They answer at their own pace and you get the responses back organized and ready to turn into content.

## After the interview

You're not pushed straight into a creation mode when an interview ends. Instead, chat with your interview:

* *"What are the strongest angles from this conversation?"*
* *"What LinkedIn posts can we pull from this?"*
* *"Summarize the key insights"*

Once you're ready, say the word and everything gets transferred to Plan Ahead or Instant Creation automatically, no copy-pasting.

## Sharing interviews

You can share any interview, useful for collecting input from customers, partners, or team members before creating content.
