Pressmaster can connect directly to the AI tools you already use through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, your AI assistant can pull from and act on your Pressmaster workspace without you switching tabs.
MCP URL: https://app.pressmaster.ai/mcp
MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect directly to external tools. Instead of your assistant telling you what to do in Pressmaster, it does it: creates the draft, attaches the channels, sets the schedule, reads the numbers back.
You don’t need an API key. Authentication runs through OAuth in your browser.
What you can do once connected
- Content Library, read and create content
- Brand Guide and Brand Voice, reference your brand settings
- Twin, retrieve and train on your Twin, plus one-shot chat with it
- Performance analytics, pull your content performance data
MCP exposes a curated set of Pressmaster capabilities. It does not give external tools access to Agent Studio chat, your agent’s internal prompts, memory, skills, or scheduled tasks.
How to connect
Open MCP settings
Go to Settings > MCP in your Pressmaster account.
Choose your tool
Select the tab for your tool: Claude, ChatGPT, or Other.
Follow the setup guide
Follow the 3-step setup guide shown for your tool, using the copyable MCP server URL provided.
You can also start setup from the Connect banner on your dashboard, or from the MCP card on the Get Started page.
Before you start, you’ll need an active Pressmaster account and workspace, and Claude on a plan that supports custom connectors (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).Open connector settings
In Claude (web or desktop), go to Settings > Connectors, scroll past the directory, and click Add custom connector.
Add the server
Paste the URL https://app.pressmaster.ai/mcp, name it “Pressmaster”, and confirm.
Authorize
Claude opens a Pressmaster login window. Sign in and approve access.
Verify
Start a new conversation and ask “What’s in my Pressmaster content library?” If Claude returns your actual drafts and stages, you’re connected.
The connection binds to the workspace you authorize. If you belong to more than one workspace, make sure you’re signed into the right one before approving.
Before you start, you’ll need an active Pressmaster account and workspace, and a ChatGPT plan that supports custom connectors. From the ChatGPT tab in Settings > MCP, follow the setup guide shown: add a custom connector using the Pressmaster MCP URL, then complete the OAuth sign-in to authorize your Pressmaster workspace.
Any MCP-compatible AI tool can connect the same way. From the Other tab in Settings > MCP, follow the setup guide shown for adding a custom MCP connector using the Pressmaster MCP URL, then complete the OAuth sign-in to authorize your Pressmaster workspace.
What you can ask
Create content in any format. Articles, social posts, newsletters, video scripts. Ask, review in chat, and it lands in your Content Library as a draft.
“Write a LinkedIn post about why founders confuse their champion with their budget holder. Use my brand voice.”
Run content interviews. Start a Pressmaster interview from your AI assistant, answer the questions, and get structured source material back.
“Start a content interview on go-to-market positioning failures.”
Write against your Brand Guide. Your assistant can read your brand guide and voices, so output sounds like you rather than like a model.
Schedule and publish. Attach connected channels, set a publish time, or push live now.
“Schedule that post to LinkedIn for Thursday at 9am.”
Read performance data. Reach, impressions, engagement, follower deltas, and top posts for any date range.
“Which posts performed best in the last 30 days, and what do they have in common?”
Save and load ideas. Anything worth keeping goes into Saved Ideas and comes back when you need it.
Train and query your Digital Twin. Ingest text, run knowledge interviews, and chat with it in the same session.
Troubleshooting
Where it’s available
MCP is a paid-plan feature, available on the Leader plan and up.
Content tools normally live in an app you have to remember to open. As an MCP connector, Pressmaster lives inside the conversation where you’re already thinking, so an idea can become a scheduled post without a context switch.
